Aldeia do Candal – Aldeias de Xisto na Serra da Lousã, Coimbra, Portugal 🍃🌲🏡🌲🌲

A aldeia do Candal dista 10 km da Lousã e encontra-se na Serra da Lousã, na vertente ocidental da serra onde é refrescada pela Ribeira do Candal. A maioria das construções da aldeia dispõe-se na encosta exposta a nascente, outras dispõem-se ao longo das outras encostas, todas convergindo para um mesmo ponto onde também se encontram as linhas de água. Estrategicamente colocada junto à EN236, que liga Lousã ao ponto mais alto da Serra (Trevim, 1204m) e a Castanheira de Pera, visitantes são uma vista comum nesta aldeia e onde são recompensados de uma belíssima vista sobre o vale depois de subirem as suas ruas inclinadas. Esta aldeia está incluída no Sítio de Importância Comunitária Serra da Lousã – Rede Natura 2000. Integra a União de freguesias de Lousã e Vilarinho.

The village of Candal is 10 km from Lousã and is located in Serra da Lousã, on the western side of the mountain where it is refreshed by Ribeira do Candal. Most of the buildings in the village are located on the slope facing the east, others are located along the other slopes, all converging to the same point where the water lines are also found. Strategically placed next to the EN236, which connects Lousã to the highest point of the Serra (Trevim, 1204m) and Castanheira de Pera, visitors are a common sight in this village and where they are rewarded with a beautiful view over the valley after climbing its streets inclined. This village is included in the Serra da Lousã Site of Community Importance - Natura 2000 Network. It integrates the Union of parishes of Lousã and Vilarinho.
