2nd Gen AMD EPYC Processors with 64 cores, 3.4GHz, 256 MB L3 Cache and 225W TDP have the best performance and lower power consumption for servers/datacenters

AMD vs Intel
The server/data center area is the most profitable by percentage for processor manufacturers, and AMD continues to overturn Intel. AMD has released the 2nd generation of 64-color EPYC processors with hyper threading, 3.4GHz and 256 MB cache. This new processor has 64 colors with a 7nm lithography that generates 225W of power, compared to Intel's best server processor, the Xeon 9282, released this year, which continues with a 14nm lithography that generates 400W, almost 2x times more power consumption than AMD's. Although the new AMD EPYC 7742 will cost $6,950, consuming half the power with a better processor will be a better choice for data centers.
